Hawk HPS vs. Ceramic?

Did a Search on the forum but didn't find anything stating which is more suited for a daily driver. Also. looked on their site and they mention "new" ceramic pads so I wasn't sure how long they have been on the market and if there were any issues or advantages with them?

Thanks,
Howard

Re: Hawk HPS vs. Ceramic?

Ok going from what I know and remember, ceramic pads have been on the market for a while now. The benifit is supposed to be less or no brake dust. I have heard that they can glaze though and give diminished braking power. Anyone else wanna jump in on this one?

Re: Hawk HPS vs. Ceramic?

My PBR Ultimate Ceramic pads generate about 3x the dust as the Hawk HPS pads they replaced. I'll probably switch to Hawk HP+ or try some Cobalt pads next.
