I’m currently in the process of buying a 7th generation 2005 civic si coupe, 1.7L 5spd manual and I was curious about what made the si of that year different. from what I heard was the Canadian si of that generation was basically an up badged ex but I was hoping someone would have more info about the si because from what I can see it’s just a standard civic with a small wing on the trunk, no si markings anywhere else. If anyone has more information or context of the si of that year please share your Honda wisdom so I can learn more about this car and find out if someone just up badged it and is trying to get more money out of me. (I apologize for the image quality they where the ones provided by the seller)
The Canadian Si is similar to the EX in the US. That would mean sunroof, ABS, shorter transmission gearing, and the D17a2 VTEC engine. I think the coupe also gets tweeters. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
