1997 Canadian Si?

Hey I’m new to the whole civic year/model differences for 6th gen civics, I’m wondering about a 1997 civic si 2 door coupe from Canada.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the si wasn’t made in the US in 1997 but is it different for Canada? Or is this just a Si badge someone slapped on their car

thanks

Pretty much what Colin said. The US Si is the SiR in Canada. It's amazing and so disappointing how different they are.

That’s kinda lame that the ex is the exact same with a different badge. Thank you guys for the replies!
