I know this is gonna sound realllllyyyyy dumb... but ima newb sorry!... whats the difference between a civic SI and a civic EX?..... like not the 3 door Si's but just the civic SIs that look just like all Civics?

The Si's you see in the U.S. that are not the hatchbacks are probably just ricers putting Si badges on their DX/LX/EX.
The Canadian Si have the same motors as the U.S. EX

Its the 6th gen SI, B16A 160 HP, while EX have a D17A 127 HP
They have similar body style, but you can always tell them apart, the bottom of their taillights is clear, front lip, and sideskirts, different grill, and the headlights are cleared out

if its 99-00 coupe, and it says SI on it then its the 160hp DOHC motor. if its the 99-00 and it says ex then its the 125 SOHC motor. if its the Hatchback SI in the US its the 160HP DOHC motor. if its US and is 01+ model then its a 127hp SOHC motor. in canada the SI = the us ex coupe (01+). if the car looks like a roller skate then its the hatchback SI in the US but in canada its the SIR. beware of the rollerskate, they are fugly, and i hope this helps

well, this is for everyone: i believe the 99-00 SI was the 3rd or 4th gen of SI's no? (not of all civics, but just the SI's) just a random question
