AC delete 7th Gen civic
AC delete 7th Gen civic
Hey, I've searched around but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I want to remove the AC and all of its components from my 2001 civic LX (including AC lines, condenser, compressor etc.). Mainly to free up space for if I want to remove the valve cover or whole engine and some slight decrease in drag and weight. I live in Alberta Canada, so for half the year I don't need AC and I just roll down the window during summer. I understand that the AC helps with defrosting during winter, but it has been broken since I got the car (over a year, probably longer), and I have no problem wiping and waiting as I have been already. So basically is there anything I should know before I attempt this? I believe I need a new belt from a dx with no AC, but apart from that is it straight unbolt of the components?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Re: AC delete 7th Gen civic
Mad cred if you take it to full extreme and remove the evaporator core from under the dash.
might even be able to find a full DX center console that doesn’t eve have the AC button!
