Can some one help me out? or is my best bet to buy a service manual? I mean what belts will I need after the ac is removed? Also... is it a good idea to remove the PS as well at the same time? Or will I hate that?

First of all, why would you want to remove your AC?
Second what belt are you talking about?
I've remove a few times, and it is a pain in the *** to take out and put back together. If you're not careful removing it, you can crack the high pressure aluminum piping. Also ur gonna need to spend some more money buying new AC coolant afterwards.

I never use it... so I figure might as well save some gas. And why do I need ac coolant? I'm not using the ac... you mean to reinstall?

...Ok then... Dont know why ur doing this, but i'll help you out.
There are 2 ways to do this.

1. To remove the AC, the high and low pressure pipping are on the driver side, top/bottom right corners. The bolts are screwed from behind the AC, so you'll need to remove it from the inside. (Yes, this is the pain in the *** part). You'll need pretty small hands and ratchet. If you dont care about putting it back or the well being of it, you can pull it out about an inch and it'll give you more room to work with. Unscrew the bolts until you see/hear/feel the coolant stuff leaking out. Be careful not to let the coolant hit ur face! Once all the coolant has been drained, completely remove the bolts and yank that sucka out.

2. The other way is much easier. Remove the high and low pressure pipping from the AC compressor. (Let coolant drain before removing the bolts completely.) Now the AC can be pulled out a lot further so you can remove the screws from the pipes. This way you dont have to squeez your hands between 2 inches of space to work with.

its not gonna make any diff w/ savin gas. aslong as you dont turn on the AC, the AC pulley will turn w/o any effort.

there is no such thing as AC coolant. It is refrigerant and you cant just start opening up lines and releasing refirgerant into the atmoshere. It is against the law. If a neighboor sees you releasing refirgerant into the atmoshere and takes pics and calls the EPA, you could be fined up to $10,000. It is very unlikely that will happen, but it has before. Whenever someone has to service the AC and replace a component, the refrigerant has to be evacuated from the system. Besides, if you pull off one of those high pressure lines, you could be pierced with refrigerant. hence the words HIGH PRESSURE. and refrigerant doesnt just pour out, once it hits the air, it is gas.

Now if you want to remove the AC unit, have the system evacuated first. Then you can start pulling off lines and components.

I shoulda known better, but couldnt even get my car anywhere. no valve cover, turbos off, IM off (almost), fuel rail, everything is apart, so I had to. I wont next time, I didnt know it damaged the environment.

Peace.

technically R-134A has a 0 ozone depletion rating, but R-12 has I think a 1 or so ozone depletion rating. Anyway, R-134A doesnt hurt the atmosphere, but the EPA still makes it illegal to release into the atmosphere based on the fact that noone really knows what is in your system. If the EPA came to your house and saw it, for all they know you could have R-12 in there and say it was R-134A. You understand what I am saying I hope. That is why all refrigerant has to be recovered and recycled.
