Re: Both fans and ac compressor stuck on

Well I fixed everything on the car.. no check engine lights.. the vent selector worked normal...the fan came on at normal temperature. .. I put in AC PRO and i must have got air in the ac lines or over filled or both... now the vent selector doesn't do anything.. the ac pump is always on when I start the car...as well as both fans

ac pro is the freon in a can .... the climate controls are from another car, the ac compressor is from another car the system was empty and i put in some AC PRO and it it got the compressor spinning along with both fans. now all 3 run every time i start the car and the climate control vent selection wont move from foot vents..

Should have started with this...
To properly fill an AC system you need to evacuate all the air from the lines using an AC machine, it puts a vacuum on the lines to boil out the moisture and also check for leaks. Then it adds freon and oil.

If you did not put oil in the compressor and it was dry you might have damaged it already.

Would have been nice to have this full story before thinking about what is going on.

Pull the control panel out and unplug it. See if that makes the AC stop running.

Re: Both fans and ac compressor stuck on

Okay.....Was that code present with the original HVAC panel installed?

Does the AC compressor and fans shut down when you unplug this HVAC control panel?

the ac system was bone dry and ac compressor never came on until i sprayed the AC PRO in the system. gotta pull the switch tomorrow... hopefully that will be the solution... but still need to bleed the ac system.

Apparently 2002 civic climate controls cannot be swapped out with any other rear... working perfect now thank god.
