Re: Swapping cars

Depends on what you want. Honestly, an RSX-S would be a great car. The K20 is a more solid engine than the D17, imo.

As far as price and how much money you would need? Way too variable man.

First off, trade-in value of your car. Kelly Blue Book would be a good place to get an estimate dollar amount you'd get for your car.
  • How many miles on it?
  • Any added accessories/modifications (I haven't had my morning coffee yet and I don't feel like rifling through your post history) that would increase/decrease the value of your car?
    • Keep in mind that some accessories can increase resale value (e.g. premium sound system, etc) and some modifications can lower the value of your car (e.g. performance modifications)
  • Body condition?
  • Wheels/tires all match?
  • Any mechanical issues?
Secondly, the RSX-S you're looking at. Same kinda criteria applies to the RSX.

Now, take the difference between the RSX cost and the KBB value of your car. Add a couple hundred to fail conservatively. That's how much you have to accrue.

Re: Swapping cars

Don’t forget my motto, inevitably something expensive went bad on a 15+ year old car to trigger the PO to sell it.

Re: Swapping cars

you wont get anything as far as trade value goes,

your better off selling it yourself,

you will be offered $200 or less on a trade in
