drove an rsx type s today
man i am in love!! those cars are so nice.
Its such a diffence from driving a civic. I have a big dilemma now, do i keep my 7thgen or in a year trade up to one of those. I drove the car for 10 minutes, and my car just doesn't seem as cool anymore (not knockin Civics, its just a world of difference). It had a skunk2 exhaust on it that sounded really nice. if i do keep my car, im gettin one of those. Do you think its worth it to trade up? i really dont have much into my car yet.
I'm about to trade my civic in for one. I test drove one the other day, and like you, "I feel in love!" I was told by the dealer that they will pay my car off if I decide to. I only owe $15,000 or so on my civic so I think it will be a good idea. I really like my civic, but it's just that I want something with a little more pep. I say go for it
Yo
Hey guys I want one too!! I fell in love with the CAR too, wish I could afford one!!! Hopefully sometime we will have that engine more reasonable for swaps! I CANT wait

Humm well the dealer here is a pain and won't let me test drive anything. But yeah the RSX-S is fast but besides that I haven't had much interest in it, since I am still stuck with my car for at the shortest 2 more years but by that time the Accord Coupe V6 manual will be worked with most of the bugs out so that has my eye right now. But yeah if RSX-S is your bag and you can afford it go ahead.

no crap about tha insurance being high. i could have gotten the payments about tha same as my vic, but tha insurance would've been as much as that payments. being that i am 19, and have 3 tickets already, insurance isnt that cheap. it sucks

man... I was just thinking of the same thing... I went to the acura dealership... but have yet to test drive one of those.... maybe next time I should ask a sales guy to see if they allow me to test drive the RSX... I just got my civic a month ago... but then I'll probably wait till my insurance goes down (the end of 2003) before I trade my car in.... but yeah, can't wait to test one of those babies out... but imho, that car should be lowered... it's too high off the ground!

I test drove a base RSX as they didn't have any Type S, and didn't expect them in for a while. They are back ordered at my local dealership.
The RSX was fun to drive for a bit, but after the experience of it "Being much faster then the civic" then it gets pretty normal.
I love the interior, the feel of everything from the lumbar, seats, dash etc...
But I don't think it is worth the extra money of the monthly payments and increased insurance. The Type-S would be different of course.
I love my car the way it is, and if you can afford the extra costs and everything like that, why not trade for a Type S. You would be a fool if you didn't

The $3000 is what seperates the men from the boys however with the Base and S....when I test drove the base I didnt feel anything over my two Civics...the S took in me in from the moment I sat in the leather seats (add to the fact it was Arctic Blue as well.).
cwick you said the dealership would pay what you owe on the civic (15,000) and it sounds like a good deal, don't forget their going to add that onto the price of the rsx which is what like 23,000 or so, I don't think 38,000 grand sounds like a good idea for an acura rsx-s.
