Need a good alternator

I own a 2003 honda civic with performance audio speaker. I blew out my alternator i am looking to see if anyone knows compatible alternators that fit in the stock location that put out more the 60 amps. Looking for around 90 to 120 amps

Re: Need a good alternator

Never upgraded my alternator, personally, but here's a DIY guide with some info about installing a high output alternator in a 7thgen. OP in that thread installed a 160A alternator

Just out of curiosity, how much wattage are you pushing to blow out the alternator? I ran a 600W sub and 4x100W speakers in my 7thgen with no issues
edit: then again, I was running a 1F capacitor.. Might've helped a bit. lol

Re: Need a good alternator

Was it an OEM alternator that blew out? Loose wire or mounting bolt?
