need opinions on this civic

i am looking to buy a 2003 or 2004 honda civic ex 5 speed... but can this 2003 have the fog lights put in on the bottom part of the bumper? i dont see a place for them? i know you should put a hfp lip right?

i can get this car for around 6,000 it has 80,000 miles on it.. from a dealership.. any thoughts on the price? carfax shows 2 owners and no accidents.

Looks fine to me from what you've shared. Foglights can be put on, the 01-03 style requires you to cut the front bumper (the black part) just as all the other years... so if your not planning on keeping them in forever, dont bother with fogs kuz you'll have some huge holes in your bumper after your done.

Re: need opinions on this civic

is it worth $6000 plus taxes and fees from a dealership or keep looking?

also.. what about trying to throw a turbo or cold air intake in it.. would that be a problem

$6,000 seems fair, but 7th Gen Civics have pretty bad transmissions.Any minor damages on the exterior (scratches/dents)?Interior looks pretty good as far as I can see.

Re: need opinions on this civic

Prices and deals are all relative to the person buying and the part of the county its being sold in. Kbb.com Look for rust and put your head under the body and make sure the frame looks stright. If you wanna go crazy, check the vins on the panels (inside the trunk, on the fenders, in the door jams) and make sure they all match.

Turbo and CAI are fine on that car.

What coilovers are they and how long have they been in use... does he have stock parts?

Also those headlights and grille arent JDM, they are aftermarket yes, but far from japanese. The grill looks good if you paint the bottom lip, the headlights are complete ****- I've had them- the projector shoots a really ****ed up beam.

Re: need opinions on this civic

That Civic looks alright. Is there a salvage title?Or rust, dents, scratches? It already comes with an Apexi exhaust and AEM SRI.Just don't cheap out on a turbo system. For some reason,in the first pic,I could mistake that Civic for a Lexus IS300.Yeah those aren't JDM heads and grille.

Re: need opinions on this civic

he said two owners before him. said no accidents.. no problems..

i have a 2006 si with 77k miles but its been in a pretty bad wreck and it gives me some probs and i am not paying to fix it all.. he wants to trade.. he said he can maybe put $2000 on top of that car for it....

is that car even worth it... it has 100k miles is that too much?

100K isn't much considering a lot of 7th Gens are able to get over 200K.It's a shame to hear your FG2 to have been in a wreck.I love 8th gen Si's.How bad was your wreck?I know 8th gen Si's are still up in the $15,000-$18,000 zone.

"i have a 2006 si with 77k miles but its been in a pretty bad wreck".lol.Anyways,a FG2 for a EM2+$2,000,personally I wouldn't make the trade.I would just go fix whatever is wrong with it.
