Smile Rear Deck Rattling..

Hey everyone. I just bought some FoamSealR from HomeDepot today to try and use to stop the rattling I get from my rear deck in my 04 EX Sedan. I am wondering if you guys want me to do a DIY for it (i'll probably do it anyways :P) , and if anyone knows where I can find some HONDA panel clips for my rear deck.. I took it off before and broke a few clips and pretty sure if I do it again I'll probably break some more lol... Also, I found some clips online and one of them are for an 8mm hole and another one is for a 9mm hole.. anyone know which is the right one for the holes on the rear deck? I'd rather get the material before I start, but if no ones sure I'll just do it and figure it out then. I'll probably be doing this on the weekend, because I am swamped with HW this week.. Anyways here's some pics of the FoamSealR.

It's 1/4'' thick by 50' long so I have enough to double up on some areas if need be. But it was only 8.50 so around 9 buck w. tax.. Hope this stuff works! (seems like it will tho)

Re: Rear Deck Rattling..

oh my are you ever in luck that i caught that before you bought. its neither the 8mm or the 9mm. its actually a 9.5mm.

when i removed my rear deck to put in my infinity kappa speakers (which crutchfield said fit but they DIDNT) i broke almost every clip i had on the rear deck and on the panels trying to force everything back in place. i called the dealership and it was $5.65 PER CLIP! what a joke!

the item number is honda oem #91560-S84-A01. i needed 12 clips in total so i wasnt going to spend upwards of 70$ on some stupid fu***ng clips. these are those same white clips that hold your rear interior panels, upper rear pillar panels, and rear deck in place.

so instead of getting 12 for 70 bucks, i got 25 for 17 bucks. cant beat 80 cents per clip. these are the same white clips that hold your rear interior panels, upper rear pillar panels, and rear deck in place.

there they are. took forever to find them.

Wow thanks a lot Untuned! I looked everywhere including Ebay, but was unsure since i didn't know the diameter of the holes.. This helps out a lot! I just bought a pack of 25 for 13.89 Including shipping. Yea the dealerships usually charge more for oem parts.. it sucks.. but thanks again.. I'll update my progress or make a diy thread when I start the project this weekend! lol Well when the clips get here atleast, but hope by this weekend!

Re: Rear Deck Rattling..

Cool, mine rattles too. More than likely its because there is a clip or two missing.
