New owner!!

i just scooped up 1990 honda civic DX hatchback!!
(9/11/12)

This is my 3rd(technically 2nd) honda but my first hatch
I FREAKING LOVE IT!!!!
oh and its 5spd

im haveing a problem with my civic can someone help me out? it boils the battery after drivieng it for a wile it blows my high and low beam lights and brake lights and over heats i put a new battery on and it works good till it happens again.
