Battery Draining
After sitting over night I went out to open my door and battery was dead. (shaved door handles, electronic poppers) After 2 hours got the hood up and pulled the battery. It was 4 years old so I went and bought a new one. Installed it and everything was good. Started it up moved the car about ten feet. I left it running and pulled the ground off the battery and car still ran. So alternator is working as it should. Shut it off, made sure head lights, interior light was off and all looked good. Came back 3 hours later, battery was DEAD.
Any thoughts to where I should start looking?

Re: Battery Draining
I'd be looking at some sort of backup system so you can still get in the car easily after the battery is dead.
My truck has shaved locks, I have a hotwire terminal in front for a dead battery, along with a hidden waterproof switch wired to the unlock relays.
For the drain on the battery, a low range inductive ammeter is my best friend, along with wiring diagrams and a systematic method of tracking down the drain.

Re: Battery Draining
Thanks for the help! Ya spare positive cable definitely in the future. As far as the problem I noticed my brake lights staying on after charging the battery again. Odd enough it wasnt a bad switch but a rubber nipple on the brake pedal had deteriorated into pieces. So a nut and bolt took care of the problem.
