whats up guys. just bought my first honda. it is a 91 si hatch. my third gear grinds while shifting unless i put it in slow(and i mean real slow). so to my question, should i get my trans rebuilt? or buy a used tranny from a different model that would fit? i have read that the SI's rev a bit higher so im not sure which route to take.

Sometimes all you need to do is replace the transmission fluid, start with that and if it doesn't change anything then I'd lean towards the rebuild just because then you know for sure the tranny is fine and don't have to worry about the risk of buying another used tranny
