hi i have a 94 ex coupe hood will not open cable pull but nothing happens
someone please help i need to put a qt. of oil in her

Tools needed: short flathead screwdriver (regular length one won't fit)

1. remove splash shield (bottom of the car)

2. Reach up and stick the flathead in between where the latch goes around the catch on the hood and twist

3. Replace the broken part (cable or latch)

Yup. Had to do the same with my 89 CRX except I had to remove some of the skin off my knuckles as well. Pretty tight in there. It turns out the latch mechanism was just siezed up. The car had been in storage for a year. So, lots of lubrication fixed it right up. When things are tight use lots of lubrication. This is a motto to live by.
