1997 Civic Coupe Tinting

Hey,

I just bought a 1997 civic coupe. I am considering tinting it, but am having trouble finding pics online to see how it would look so I thought I would ask here and see if anyone has seen a GREEN civic coupe with about 20% tint...if so how does it look? if you can post links to pics that would be awesome!

Thanks!

20 may be too dark, 35 is a good shade. but yeah tint on green civic would look nice

Re: 1997 Civic Coupe Tinting

check ebay, they sell precut window tint for most cars. cutting is one of the hardest parts. otherwise all you do is clean the window really well, spray the soapy water, align the tint, and squeegee the air bubbles out. then let it dry for a week. just keep everything clean and wait for a nice day with no wind.

Re: 1997 Civic Coupe Tinting

I tinted my 95 coupe with 20% with the precut tint off Ebay. The back window was nearly impossible because of the 3rd brake light. The other windows look OK. It's much harder than it looks. I think the tint goes down to far below the window line. I ended up taking a razor blade to most of it to even it up with the bottom of the window.
FYI - spray a ton of water on the tint and the window so it slides around. The more water the better. Peel it off slowly or it will rip. Don't ask me how I know this. The 20% looks great.

Re: 1997 Civic Coupe Tinting

I have a 97 civic coupe but it's white with the dark tint on it. I didn't do the dark tint in the door windows because it's damn near impossible to see out of at night and your car won't pass inspection with it. But yes it definately looks nice I even had the sunroof done. I don't understand why y'all r paying 200 for tint though I payed 95 for all the windows and an extra 15 for the sunroof. I got mine done by a guy at the flea market he did really good work and even cut a hole for the third brake light. Just look around on prices before you get it done

Re: 1997 Civic Coupe Tinting

Help!!!

I've got a '93 HB with California legal 20% privacy windows. I've been driving it for several years and, even at night, the tint is not too dark for safe driving but here in Massachusetts the law is 35%.

I looking for any tips on removing the tint film. The price I've been given for having the film removed is $18/ft on the side windows and $36/ft for the rear. From that I guess that there is no quick solution but I'm hoping that there are some suggestions that will make the job easier enough to save me some cash.

TIA!
