Exclamation What Engine is This???

I just purchased this Civic yesterday--my first. 1986 Civic Si. I have to replace the timing belt (and such) ASAP, but don't know what engine this car has in it! The odo reads 327K and I was told the engine had some work done to it, so I'm assuming it's not the original, but do not know.

It's a SOHC, but I can't find the block code plate where others have said. I found an ID stamped into the block to the right of the timing belt that says "FW1051" but have not found any information on it.

Can someone help me? I need to know so I can go buy parts for it today.

I will post photos of it in just a moment...

Thanks in advance,
Sam

Re: What Engine is This???

Cool, I LIKE! The last time I saw that model we got rear-ended by a Camaro.

If it's the original engine it has a carburetor. If it has fuel injection it's a swap. If it's the original engine: Go to the autoparts store and ask for a belt for an '86 Civic SI (it's a 1.5L). Or go to the dealer. Or here: http://www.hondapartscheap.com/southbay/jsp/home.jsp

If it's fuel injected: Look between the distributor and exhaust pipes and it should be stamped on the little flat place of the block.
