head swap on a 93 civic

i was wondering if a d16z6 vtec head will fit on a d15 block?

sure does, easily acomplished in a afternoon, make sure you get the z6 dist. as well.

....and an adjustable cam gear, also i think you may need a z1 or y8 timing belt? not sure which one. make sure to remove the screw on the block for the oil to go through for vtec, and you will have to hotwire the plug in for vtec

my car is a civic Si hatch, the d16z6 lost oil pressure really bad so i yamked it out and put a d15 non vtec in it for now and if i can fix the d16 i wont put the head(d16) on the d15. ive plastigaged and found number 1 and 5 main journal to be outta spec by about .3 mm

ive never seen someone use mm for spec measurements...its usually in inch format....strange but awesome. yea mini-mes arent hard to achieve, just hard to keep on the rd kinda like ls-vtec swaps. id say stick to your plan.

well its the inch measure ment is supposed to be .002 and the journals are closer to the mm gauge on the plastigage.
