Unhappy 94 civic driver side hid light not working

I doubt anyone has had this paricular problem. Doesn't hurt to ask though. Ive installed in my 94 civic ex an hid kit. The passenger headlight works fine. But the driver side turned on for a couple of days and then went out causing the fuse to short. Anyone have an idea or suggestions why this may be happening? It doesn't make sense for one headlight to work and the other to not. I don't know what to do. Ive gone through three fuses. My buddy had an extra ballast and let me have it but it did the same thing. By the way does anyone know if the 94 civic ex has a specific relay for the headlights? Maybe that's the problem? I appreciate the help.

Sounds like a short on that side. Recheck the wiring.

Re: 94 civic driver side hid light not working

I had a similiar issue.....I installed them myself and was working fine for about 8 month....and then the passenger stopped working....after lots of trouble shooting it actually was the ground not properly connected!!!.....so to make a long story short, the ground from the ballast is strongly recommended to be grounded directly to the car battery....My problem was solved!!!!!!!!......I had it grounded to the headlight bolt, which appears to not have proper ground......Hope this will help.

Note: the ground wires from the ballast supplied is not long enough....you'll need to get's some wire to extend to battery.

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!
