Well I have a 1992 Civic hatchback SI and my problem is: sometimes the car starts fine, but after I drive it around for a while or a bit, and park it and leave it there and try to start it again, it won't start. Me and my friend were thinking maybe it's the ECU ? we moved it around somewhat and tap it a bit and try starting it and it worked. I'm not sure whats the problem, sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. can anyone help? or know what might be the problem? I would really appreciate it.

When you turn the car on check to see if the fuel pump is priming, there should be a whirring noise when you put the key into the ON position, if the fuel pump is priming and the problem occurs only when the car is warm, take your main fuel relay out and test it.

oh, i had someone look at it and he said it was because of the ignition coil.

Well! It could be the coil but most of those problems came to be the fuel main relay located under the drivers side next to the fuse panel.
