Now onto the A/C issues...
I know a 1.6L engine will pull back slightly when the clutch engages on your A/C compressor, but my engines PULLS hard, even on the highway. When im around town going slow, when the compressor engages it can pull the car so hard i need to give it half throttle just to get going.
IS this a bad clutch problem or something deeper? Could this also be the culprit to my air not being cold enough. Although in the early morning and at night the A/C is ice cold, but during the hot day (miami) its not so much cold.

Re: Now onto the A/C issues...
I don't think it's a clutch problem. Sounds like the compressor is working too hard. The question is why. There are only 2 things that I can think of. One is that maybe the bearings are going bad. I sort of doubt that though. The other is that there is some kind of restriction in the system. There is a high-pressure valve on the compressor. If the pressure gets too high, it'll blow.
Just rambling here to give you something to think about.

i thought about the bearing too...how do i oil them? I thought there was maybe some oil in the r134 or am i wrong?
The a/c just doesnt get cold enough so im thinking the compressor is somehow going bad and not spinning fast enough to cool the car.

Re: Now onto the A/C issues...
Some refrigerant has oil in the charge, some doesn't. The oil goes in the same way as the refrigerant charge. Do you have gages to check the pressure? You can get a refill kit that has a hose with a gage that'll give you some idea if there's pressure in there. That's a cheap start.
Re: Now onto the A/C issues...
There is not much you can do about it except wait till it dies.
You can probably buy some time with an a/c oil charge.
As compressors get older the clearances inside allow the compressor which acts like one big screw to wobble.
As they get older you can hear noises and small rattles coming from the inside.
The fact that you feel your car slow down means that there is alot of internal friction within the compresor.
Its just a matter of time before it dies.
From my experience a/c compressors don't last much longer than 120K or 130K miles.
