sloppy shifter....

my 94 ex 5spd, my shifter when in gear seems very sloppy, like its moves alot when is gear, only feels sloppy moving side to side, up and down its fine, any ideas?

Your rubber bushings above your transmission that link the shift cables to the shifter are shot and need to be replaced. Look for some metal ones, cnc'd aluminum is pretty popular.

No idea. I got mine from strutking.com, but they dont make them for your model. I would check if all honda shifter bushings are the same, or if they are the same between civics at least.

you could also do polyurethane bushings. they are an easy install and you can order them from either energy suspension or prothane. you might also want to replace the shifter stablizer bushing.

i had to replace the bushings also, they are like 20-30 bucks and take about an hour to install. you have to get right under the car tho, if you can afford a short shifter you can add that with no issue when your already doing the bushings
