89 civic lx wont start

recently my car stopped starting. it was cranking, but would never actually start. first i thought it was the battery, jumped it, still nothing. so then i pulled the spark plugs and am getting spark at all the plugs. so then i thought maybe it wasn't getting gas. so i tried to listen for the fuel pump, and didn't hear anything. so i tested the fuel pump relay according to the haynes manual, and it seemed to work fine. so i replaced the fuel pump in the tank. i replaced the fuel filter in the engine bay. so i went to go start it, and it is doing the same thing. i pulled the supply hose off the fuel filter to see if gas was getting there, but when i tried it, nothing was coming out. so im thinking its not getting any gas, and i know there is gas in the tank because i put about 5 gallons in after i put the tank back in. so now im lost, i dont know what it is. when i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump kick on, but its not a whirring sound, its like a low hum almost. i dont know now. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check for a clogged or pinched fuel line between the gas tank and filter.

Re: 89 civic lx wont start

well i went back and double checked my work. i was pinching the supply line at the gas tank. so i fixed that. i am now getting fuel to the fuel filter. The car is still doing the same thing, cranking but not starting. But not, the oil pressure warning light and the battery warning light stays on. Anyone know what that means? the battery is probably close to being completey dead, but everytime i try to start it i jump it from another car. thanks again.

Charge the battery, measure the fuel pressure, and check for spark at the plugs.
