Exclamation 91 hatch PLEAASSSE HELP

hey everyone i have a 91 hatch with a b18a1 swap done to it, now i didnt do the swap i got it like that (yeah i know stupid idea) but it ran and drove great for about 2 months. then it started acting really weird with the electonics and stuff. the last time the car ran all it would do was idle and as soon as i put it into reverse and the lights would come on the car just shut off. i can take the key out of the car and set it on the roof and step on the brake pedal and all the dash lights will turn on seat belt check engine brake light all those nice lights, with out the key even being in the car. i can also turn on the headlights and then turn the turn signal on and it makes this really loud buzzing noise......the car hasnt ran in over 2 months now due to it getting cold out and after working on it hard core for a week and getting frustarated i gave up but i need to get it running again so i can either sell it or drive it the battery and the alt in the car are good i had a mechanic buddy check them for me, be he is also stumped on the reason the car dosnt run. does anyone have any ideas i would really apprecate them thanks for looking guys

Re: 91 hatch PLEAASSSE HELP

For the problem with the brake lights turning on the dash lights, you either have the wrong brake bulb type installed (should be double rather than single filament buld) or the ground wire for the lights in the rear is disconnected or broken. Start with the former.

For the won't run problem, do you have any CEL codes? Have you checked the mechanical timing?

If he has a swap, the engine harness isnt going to just plug right in...

Man, get a hold of the guy that sold it to you and tell him its all types of ****ed up and that you'd like his help fixing it since he did the work.

Re: 91 hatch PLEAASSSE HELP

thats just the thing when i bought it from the kid he wasnt the one that did the swap, he bought it from another guy that did the swap. i just dont understand why the car would run great for him and never give him a prob and run good for me and then all of a sudden just start acting up, i didnt change anything in the car since i have had it except rims and exhaust i deff learned my lesson about buying other ppls swaps. ill just stick to doing my own again from now on
do you happen to know what plugs and **** wouldnt mount right back up if i got a new harness? the car is obd 0 clearly and the motor is obd1 i know i need a jumper harness for the ecu but if i get a harness for the obd1 motor wont it match up
