when i accelerate in my civic it wants to shimmy but the steering wheel doesn't move and as soon as i stop accelerating and just cruise along it stops, i've had my tires balanced and it's not that. it's kinda hard to explain but if you think you have an answer i would love to hear it. thanks

yeah, the front of the car vibrates like its shimmying but the steering wheel doesnt shake like it would if my tires were shimmying. its hard to explain

I think you may want to check the axles and motor mounts.

Does it happen while pressing the gas in neutral? If so, its a motor problem. If not, its a tranny/axle problem.

ok i was thinking it was the axles because we did a motor swap and the mounts are fine.
