Fuel pump issue
Fuel pump issue
So, yesterday my civ was cutting out while i was driving it, it would stay running but all of a sudden lose power. this morning it wont start and there is a ticking coming from the gas tank area. I'm 90 % sure the fuel pump has gone, everything else is working fine. im wondering if any1 has changed their fuel pump before? how hard is it? where is it located?
this is a 1995 lx 5 speed.

Re: Fuel pump issue
You have probably already figured this out but unless it has changed drastically from my '89 design. the fuel pump should be located inside the gas tank. Once you get the tank out it is pretty easy to change. Of course, you'll need to be careful since the gas is extremely flammable. Good luck. I am in the process of replacing the gas tank right now on my Civic. Talk about rust! LOL
