Clock remains dim and resets to 1:00 every time the car is off...

...and in addition to that, when i try to install my car radio, it won't power on.

History:
My radio was stolen from my car the other night (yanked out by the wires ) and now I'm having all kinds of problems with that area of my car. I would say it was a blown fuse if not for the fact that all my fuses seem fine and my cigarette lighter still works. Any suggestions on what I can do would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'm going to double check my fuses.

Thanks in advance for the help, and sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot0

Hey, all depends on what the theif damaged for wires... they could have striped 1 or another in the back and they could be causing a short, or there could be some cut 1's. I would say if you knew how bro, take off some panels of your dash and inspect the wirring.

Not sure of the year but, Most 12 volt outlet/lighters are switched these days.

I would check for a missing constant 12 volt source.

Try checking the "back-up" fuse in the engine compartment

depending on year i'd say some wires were damaged but like in my car when they stole my stereo the only wires they could have cut were the stereo wires... idiots didn't even take the harness like they were supposed to...

id pull the clock out and cheak wires, check all fuses under dash and in engine bay, and see if power antenna works....
