First mod help

Hi, brand new to the forum, nevertheless I am looking to do my first real mod to my 99 Civic LX Sedan AUTO, and just trying to gain HP. Any first steps I should start at? (besides swapping to a stick )

Re: First mod help

Welcome.

If your just trying to gain HP then get a stage 1 camshaft. Once you get that you can open the car up further with an intake, headers and exhaust.

You can get the intake/headers/exhaust first but you will notice more increase with the stage 1 cam.

Thanks! What's a solid company to start with?

Re: First mod help

For camshaft, check out Crower. Headers, DC Sports. Exhaust, there are a
few find one you think sounds good. Intake, a cheap eBay one with a nice filter will do.

Re: First mod help

How much of HP is it increased and does it increase MPG also?
I am using Titanium Tip Exhaust. It sounds good and increased my car HP approx. 12-14.
If you want to look up some more exhaust try on this:

I called them and they said they do offer a camshaft for the 99 lx for about $380 bucks.
