Recently, I noticed a faint whining and wheezing sound when I accelerate my 1999 Civic LX (it has 171000 miles.) It sounds almost like the sound that hybrid cars make except fainter.

Does this sound like something very serious that I need to get checked out at a mechanic ASAP? Or is it something that could wait till my next oil change next month?

if its auto then one of my civics used to do that i never did anything about it seemed to be fine hen i sold the car lol
