I bought these right before the holidays and tried to mount them today and epic fail (pic). Now I have to call the vendor back and probably raise a stink in order to make things right! Anyhow, wanted to pass this along as a FYI to the forum. When buying 15x7x15s +10 offset- be careful of the tire sizes that are recommended. They might NOT work for your car!

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

Added the pic to the original post. Wheels are perfect the tire size will not work! Only had around a CM clearance between the top of tire and fender. I am not willing to roll fenders, so that's why I have to call the vendor to resolve my issue. Too bad. Got to be a bit more patient ya know!

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

According to the sales rep +10 works, however, he was way off on the tire size recommendation. In hindsight, I should have either gone with 195/45/15s or 205/50/15s. We'll see how my story turns out tomorrow....

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

Tire size has nothing to do with the wheels not fitting properly, the ridiculous offset is the cause.

The stock offset is +42, going down to +10, what did you expect would happen. The sales rep is an idiot.

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

I like the way the +10 offset looks, but didn't anticipate having the 1 cm gap. I think this can be easily solved with the right tire size or shall I say the right tire size recommendation. I wonder if the reason why he thought it would be okay is that he assumed my ride was stock. Or does that even matter?

Here's another pic so you can see how WRONG the tire size is.

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

The tire is basically irrelevant, unless you stretch them or go with an extremely low profile it will rub. Look at the position of the rim itself in relation to the fender, it's sticking to far out to work while maintaining any degree of functionality. You either need negative camber, stretched tires or new rims.

I'm going to try and change the tires to 195/45s. Think these will do the trick?

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

Good news! Looks like the vendor is going to get me some 205/50s. All I need to do is ship the wheels back (all on them) and should get them back within a week! Hopefully, this will work a lot better. Fingers crossed! Else I'm SOL.

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

I think the proper size tire you should have is 195-55-15. but the 205-50-15 is just about the same so it should be fine.

I agree. Really don't want to roll the fenders.

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

...
keep in mind that having stock springs or eibach does not matter. if you compress the suspension(hard cornering or large bump/hole), the wheel will still get in the same position you have now, so the tire size might make it need to go further to hit the fender, but still will get in the way.
the issue is the wheel off-set, not tires or springs.
eventually you might run the risk of hitting the fenders anyway.
No, eibach is not supposed to answer wheel questions, it's the wheel vendor that needs to answer if they will fit if you drop the car.

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

So orginally I thought 205/50/15 was the right answer, but after thinking it over I think it's better that I go with 195/50/15. A narrower width should help out since my wheels are a +10 offset.

We'll see what happens next week when I get them back....Pics to follow...Hopefully I won't be

Re: What???? Eibach Prokit doesn't work with 205/55/15!!!

I'm another one. The wheel size won't help you much because it will still be centered on the rim. Your problem is the offset. I mean, it may help a bit but not enough to fix that issue. What does the front look like? Tire height is not determined by how much room you have but by the size of the replacement wheel. You want to keep as close to stock size as possible (wheel + tire). You shouldnt just go and change your tire height because it does not fit. That being said, good luck.
