Redo Interior
Hi, I just bought a '99 Honda Civic EX Coupe and the previous owner didn't take quite as good of care of the interior as I did in my old civic so I plan on redoing the interior in it including:
-Full Dash including front and rear
-Visors
-Center console
-Carpet
-Have to redo the sunroof because its dry rotting but thankfully not leaking
-Headliner
-Interior trim such as door panels, siding, rear panels (driver door panel is actually cracked but you can't tell besides the few cuts to the vinyl)
-Car door tweeter speaker housing
-Gauges
-Seats etc. etc. etc.
I'm talking a full out redo of the interior..
I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how I may go about doing this, possibly websites for dash kits, seats, headliner lining, visors, material, adhesive recommendations whatever information that could help me with my goal.
I'm trying to at least go with an all black simplistic, elegant theme, maybe black suede lining, or possibly a black / dark green like the color of my car because I do like the green.. but I need some direction from people that have gone about this extensive journey and could help me out.
Now the interior really isn't in bad condition minus the cigarette burns on the visors, headliner and interior window trim but I am a perfectionist and I'm sure the people of this forum can understand why I want to completely redo the interior of the car and make it like brand spankin' new.

Re: Redo Interior
Tons of websites..just have to search..For stock parts just search honda accessories and pick a site with the best price.
First though i would check local junkyards..they will have a lot of the parts you need and in good condition..
Carpet and headliner you can get at a fabric store if you want to do it that way..or just buy the factory inserts..

Okay, cool thanks.. I just checked out that CarID site, and the trims are cool but I'd like to get the whole interior a different color where as the trim would take care of the majority in the front but not all. And going to a junk I never thought about only because 'junk' is in the name lol, so I would've thought the pieces I would need would be damaged.
What adhesive should I use to do the headliner?

Re: Redo Interior
use a 3m spray..like 70ish grade..
and you would be surprised what you can find in a junk yard...sometimes the interior is like new just dusty..you might have to get different pieces from different places but its a good place to look
