Question i got situation

hellos fellas

i have a 96 civic dx with a d16y7 with great mpgs the head went bad so i had it redone. six months later the head went bad again so i had the engine replaced but a d16was not a available and seeing as this is my only car i found a d15 and had it put in. my mpgs suck like instead of getting 300 miles i get 150 miles if i'm lucky. so if anybody has any idea of what could be happening please let me know

OK, you need an ECM/PCM for the D15. Go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_D_engine and find the year and model that engine came in, then find an ECM/PCM for that engine. Remember, auto or manual tranny does make a difference.

For future reference: You can get those engines just about everywhere for $500-600 shipped. The ECM/PCM usually runs $50-100 shipped.

Nationwide salvage listings: http://www.car-part.com/

Cheapest parts around: http://www.picknpull.com/check_inventory.aspx

Also, check eBay and all of craiglist within driving distance or here: http://www.allofcraigs.com/ for a nationwide CL search engine.

BTW: Why did it take you almost 2 years to post your first post? Just wondering.
