Installing a Short Shifter in an EX

SO i just bought a short shifter for my 2000 Honda Civic Ex. I need some help putting it in, anyone have any tips or how too's? I hear its easy, but just need to be guided in the right direction!

Its a very easy job that can be done with minimal tools.

Take the shift **** and boot off so you can pull the shifter out from underneath.

You'll need to jack up the car and get to the underside of the shifter. There is a plate on the bottom of it with 2 bolts. You need to remove those. The shifter itself has a 10mm bolt going through it to the linkage. This needs to be removed as well.

Once this is one the shifter will come out. Put the new one in and revese the steps.

Make sure you greast up the shifter ball well so its as smooth as possible on shifting.
