Temperture Guage

Hello-
The temp gauge in my 2000 Honda Civic EX has always worked properly until now. It would always go up to just below the middle of the C and H no matter what the weather was (obviously, taking a little longer to get there in the winter). This year, during the winter, it very rarely would come close to reaching the middle. It usually stayed on or close to the C no matter how long I was driving. Now that the weather is getting a little warmer, it is back to the middle mark. It always drops below the C when the car is off (as it should). Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks!

Re: Temperture Guage

prolly a thermostat stuck open, which would cause the engine to warm up very slowly if at all. more noticable in cold weather obviously. but its not good to drive like that because the ecu will run rich all the time with the engine not warmed up. replace with a honda thermostat only.
