Can't get oil pan off D16Y8

Well it sounds like I've spun a rod bearing. I tried to get the oil pan off but can't seem to get it. I noticed two bracket looking pieces that seems to connect the oil pan to the trany. Does anyone know what size that is and am I the only one having problems gettin it off like this? 7/16 and 11mm is too small and 1/2 and 12mm is too big for the screw.....wtf?
