2000 Front Bumper Cover Repair
2000 Front Bumper Cover Repair
Managed to hit a good sized dog on the freeway, and it cracked my bumper/ bumper cover. It looks fixable, but I've got to get it off first. Any one know how to do this? If not, does anyone know where I can get the info to take the bumper/cover off? Thanx.

Re: 2000 Front Bumper Cover Repair
It's like 4 plastic body pins on the top, a dozen on the bottom, and 4 screws in the wheel wells (2 on each side). You may have to remove some body pins from the inner fender too.
Re: 2000 Front Bumper Cover Repair
Removed the screws above the grille, about two or four screws, but first you have to open the hood to make it possible, this procedure is for front bumper, since most of rear bumpers doesn't have this screws.
Second, find the black plastic clips, it is actually snapped in another black plastic circle you should use a flat-head screw driver to snoop it, and keep it stays up.
Then, remove or cut the stem of the center circle, you might need to use a tool like a nipper here, this clip is non reusable because even if you didn't cut it, it may loosen while you are driving...
Lastly, if you ensure that all the clips and screws have been removed, pull the bumper cover from your car, place it in top of cotton based cloth like blanket or towel to avoid scratches on your bumper cover.

Re: 2000 Front Bumper Cover Repair
It might be different for 7th/6th gens, but the two screws in the wheel wells in 6th gens are actually to the skidplate; not the bumper. However, everything else Lazlong mentioned is correct. Look for phillips screws on the bottom underneath the car, black pop off pins on the top and two 10mm bolts in the inner fender..one on each side.
