lowering springs or coil over kit

so ive been looking online for a coil over kit and i see prices anywhere from 30 too 2500 bucks, so whats a good brand for a descent price and does it really matter if its a full coil kit or not? for a 99 honda civic

Re: lowering springs or coil over kit

get lowering springs once you go for alignment its said and done
lowering springs like tein s is good you will still enjoy the life span of your tires,
cheap coil over arnt good if you dont have good shocks
and if you live where theres snow and salt you will get rust build up and top it off
you get the benefits of your ride height but the disadvantage is your camber is gonna go off and if your not lazy going to get your alignment done after every ride height adjustment then your good but if you dont then have fun spending money on new set of tires, camber kits are also good if you gonna go low low

Re: lowering springs or coil over kit

i can spend alot only around 250 or s, so i no that i cant get the best with that at all, but i want something semi reliable i only want to go about 2in low from stock height, so what would be a good brand for that price

Re: lowering springs or coil over kit

Tein, H&R, Eibach, Goldline, Progress and Neuspeed all make good quality springs with varying characteristics. If your not changing your struts then I would go with a softer spring like the teins or eibachs, rather than something extremely stiff like goldlines.

Re: lowering springs or coil over kit

save bucks for a tokiko blues shocks.
shocks are more important than most thinks.
or you will be back here with a thread named "heeelp meeee! harsh ride" or Heeelp meee, car bounces around".
Save and get good shocks matched to UR springs of choice.

Re: lowering springs or coil over kit

i used 2000 usdm integra type r springs with oem shocks
i have no problem going through speed bumps and the ride quality is good and its gonna be better once i upgrade the shock, i had the tein s but i sold it for the same price i got it for but if i were to go back i would go with tein s
