i have a 98 civic dx manual trans. a good amount of the time i cant shift into reverse,..it feels like its in but its actually not. i have to pop it bak into neutral and then try again to pop in into reverse...any1 know my problem

Try flushing the tranny fluid, if that does not fix it get it properly diagnosed. Probably not an easy fix.

I don't remember where I read this, but I think it's a common Honda problem.. Shift it into first then into reverse if it doesn't wanna go right away.

^yes, I always go from first to reverse. It just goes in better
