Need some insight on a '00 something haha

Just got this 2000 honda civic sedan from my dad. I have no clue what model or engine it has. I know for sure it is not an si and not an ex. I just can't tell what other model it is and/or what engine version it is. I'm almost sure it is the DX with the D16 engine. The reciept said CD and i have no idea what that means but I compared the engine bay with others online and it looks similar to the DX. Also, if it is that engine, I would like to know what kind of bolt on exhaust i can put on. I know my options are to switch out the headers, downpipe and O2 sensors for the ex type of set up but is there any exhaust just for the DX? Thanks for the

Put your VIN in here and it should tell you exactly what model it is: http://www.decodethis.com/

Other than the VIN, does it have an AM/FM stereo? Manual locks and windows? Steel wheels with hubcaps? Etc.

it probably has a D16Y6 or D16Y7 engine. if it is an ex model with a sunroof then it has a D16Y8 w/vtech.

Doesn't anyone have or use the factory service manual anymore? Sorry, just had to say that.

According to your VIN, your car was manufactured in Canada, came originally with an automatic 4 speed, and is DX trim. Just verify the block stamp on the front of the engine is D16Y7 and it's still a DX in every way.

Does the intake start at the top of the intake manifold, if so its a d16y7.
if intake is on the left side of intake manifold its a d16y8.

I believe the VP might stand for value package, really just a dx.
