Unhappy 98 LX doesn't start

Okay, so I was driving through town the other day and all a sudden I was unable to accelerate, and shortly thereafter my car died. the engine cranks and all, but no start.

I filled up with premium and a fuel cleaner, and after running that tank through I filled it with another tank of premium for testing and everything went pretty well after the gunk broke up with the first tank. I replaced my filter, and checked to make sure pressure was getting to the fuel rail and that's fine. However, I still can't get it to start.

Any ideas? Possibly a clogged injector? If so, how can I clear it without a mechanic? I'm savvy when I know what needs doing, just need to know what needs doing

Thanks!

Re: 98 LX doesn't start

ive got an 98 that cranks strongly but just seems to be fuel starved . the fuel pump sounds like it activates when i open the gas cap & listen. it gets ahealthy spark when i check the plugs. car has 220,000 miles.

There was a recall on some of the 98's to replace the ignition switch, call your honda dealer and give them the vin # and they can tell if your car is one that had a recall.
