Hey guys, I have a '00 Civic EX. Recently, I've noticed that when going from sitting to accelerating my car will sometimes hesitate to speed up.

I'll put the pedal down and sometimes it'll barely push over 2k RPMs. The only work I've done on the car was replacing my cat and my ignition coil.

I had to replace the IC about 6-7 months ago. I was driving and then all of a sudden there was no power when I was pressing the gas. turns out the IC had grounded out inside of the plastic casing. There were all of these white marks from where it had zapped it.

Any idea when could be causing this?
