Clutch Issues, 1999 EX

Hello,

So for the past two weeks, I've had some days where it takes a fair amount of force to put the car into the lower gears (1st, 2nd and reverse). The clutch also doesn't seem as responsive, it feels different...

Today I go out to run some errands and the car just doesn't seem to want to start, it won't turn over. The clutch can be pushed down okay(it doesn't have as much force back on my foot as it used to), but doesn't come back up with my foot, it seems to stick for about a half-second and then comes up.

The car's clutch has never been replaced....is it finally time or can I try bleeding the clutch fluid as my friend suggested?

Thanks in advance for any response.

Bleed the system first as it seems your pedal is not returning. That may just fix the problem. Is the fluid low or dirty? It (like all brake fluid) should be nice and clean/clear. If you find the fluid is very low you have a leak and you must address that issue first.

Good luck.
