97 EX Coupe weekend project help

Hello everyone, been reading the forums for a while, but haven't been much of a poster. Anyways, here's what I've got going on this weekend that I would like to see if any of y'all have had experience with.

1. Radiator / Thermostat replacement. Unfortunately after 175k miles my EX finally shot a seal in the radiator and I have to replace it. Looks like your typical out and in replacement while swaping the fan and temp sensor to the new radiator. Anything I may miss or have to watch out for?

2. Window motor & regulator replacement. I had my drivers' side window drop on me and it appears to be the window regulator so I bought a window motor & regulator combo to replace it. Appears that I'll just have to remove the glass (2 bolts?), then the 4 or so bolts holding the motor & regulator in place then just slide it out?

3. Belts. Looking at the belts it appears that one goes around the motor mount on the drivers' side. Do I have to drop the motor (not remove) in order to change this 1 belt?

I did some searching on the forums and couldn't find much that pertained to the 6th gens and these projects so if any of you have any insight into them please let me know!

I picked up everything (Raditor, upper hose, lower hose, thermostat, thermostat gasket, belts, window motor & regulator) for $130 from RockAuto and it should hopefully get here by Friday so I can get to work, just wanted to find out if there's anything I should watch out for, or take notice in when doing any of these. Thanks in advance!

Re: 97 EX Coupe weekend project help

Radiator is simple as pie as you mentioned. The a/c belt does indeed go around the one motor mount. No, you don't drop the engine, just unbolt that one mount (as you have 4 others to hold the engine in place) and pull the belt around it.

The window regulator...it's pretty basic as you mentioned. Except you should follow the factory service manual for adjusting it properly (I've never done one, but it's in the manual). Just try not to destroy the plastic liner between the door panel and actual door so you can re-attach when done to maintain a good seal.

Good luck.

The window issue is super common, word of caution sometimes the run channel should be replaced as well, since the rubber is not routed correctly from the factory which causes the window to bind them drop.
