Ek guages need help
Hey all, I picked up a DX ek, It doesnt have a tach beacuae its a DX, However i found an EK civic guage cluster for cheap, it is complete, Will this be a direct plug in swap? please let me know how hard this swap would be... any input would be appreciated. thanks
Re: Ek guages need help
Yes, this is a direct plug in swap and can be done in about 30 minutes.
Just remove the bezel. Then unscrew the cluster (4 screws) and unplug it. Swap the speedometer if you want and then just plug in your EX cluster.
You might want to swap the speedometers so you can keep your odometer reading. It can just be simply unscrewed from the back.

Re: Ek guages need help
I have a similar question. i have an ek ex and im wanting to swap in si guages (tach and speedo) if i swap those in will that also be a direct swap, eventhough the speed goes to 140 instead of 120 and the tack goes 1000 rpms higher? do i have to replace any gears or anything?
