Rust on bolts on exhaust manifold cover

What should I do with it? I am afraid if I spray WD 40 or other grease, it would catches fire because WD 40 and other grease are flammable.

Man if you're worried about rust on bolts then I hate to break it to you but you've got a whole can of worms to deal with. And what's going to light the wd-40 on fire? There's no way I can thnk of. And the kerosene in it evaporates within the hour or so.

Take some PB blaster to it and an air gun if u really need to or a breaker bar whatever u have a get those things off as long as u arent using a open flame to see under your car u are fine it will evaporate in a few mins and u will have no problems

Re: Rust on bolts on exhaust manifold cover

I sprayed bunches of WD 40 on mine and it never cached on fire, as the other member said it evaporates within a few minutes... should not worry about it...
