Location of Vtec Solenoid Valve and Oil pressure switch on 98 Civic

I have a 1998 Civic EX with a single overhead cam engine and need to find the location of the solenoid valve and oil pressure switch on the engine.
I have a haynes manual and it only shows the dual overhead cam engine.

Is it any different on a B16A2 engine? I can't seem to find one? It should be towards the back of the engine bay right?

Is it true that this solenoid should be heard clicking when the engine is revved even if it is in neutral?

nope, the solenoid will not engage just revving in neutral. it should be bolted somewhere to the cylinder head. if its not, then you dont have vtec.
