93 civic intake
93 civic intake
Does anyone know why the intake looks like a corkscrew??? Let me explain.
My airbox is right above the passenger's side fender well. Then an intake tube goes down through the fenderwell where there is a hole to let air pass into the tube. COOL right, honda factory CAI. WRONG!!!! Well that tube ends there, then it loops back around into the engine bay and back overtop of the spot where it previously passed down into the open. So the actual opening ends up right back where it started but INSIDE the engine bay instead of outside.
Now the 1st piece deadends right where it opens up into the outside and a 2nd piece makes it loop back around into the car. My question is
1 Do you think i would gain HP from removing the 2nd part and just leaving it like a cai. My guess is probably
2 Do you think i would lose gas mileage by doing this. My guess agian is probably, but this is just my work car so i'd rather have gas mileage than HP.
THanks
