Rep Power: 0 My new car
I just recently picked up this 2003 Civic Ex for 4000$ with 210k kms (130k miles for you Americans)
It came with Ksport suspension lowered 2 inches, 2.5 inch exhaust with stainless steel headers and a 3 inch tip(the sound itself was worth 4000) and a K&N short ram intake
I already put a 12 inch sub and 300 watt amp in it and I was looking at Ruff Racing R951 rims after this winter
I was wondering what should I put my money into next and what you route you guys took with your cars I'm mostly looking for more power
Here are some pictures

Re: My new car
I turbo'd my 01, but thinking back I wish i would have done the K swap...then Turbo that...Apparently it's not to expensive now that everyone and their mother is doing it...
I love those gauges...
Here's a mod, take yours out and send them to me...I will send you mine...

Re: My new car
the kit was $3700?? from turbospecialties...Plus A MASSIVE HEADACHE because I didn't do the whole thing at one time (computer, tune, radiator, fuel pump, etc)
I am up to about $5000 with chasing problems here and there and I still need an RSX computer and Hondata, and a re-tune...

Re: My new car
Rims would be nice for visuals, but if you're looking for more power, you basically have 3 options, all of which won't get you all that far without a K-Pro, so pick up one of those babies regardless of what you do. After you have one of those, you can a: throw a new cam in and maybe a d16y8 intake manifold and see about 140-150 whp, b: add a turbo to that and build the engine up a bit and see anywhere from 180-300whp, depending on how much money you want to spend, or c: K-Swap. Like they said, the price to swap is coming down, and with about 180whp stock, they are a good start to getting power.
Personally, I'm going the route of the turbo build, simply because not many people wanna do it anymore, but to each his own in this case.

IMO
d17's are for looks.
get a different car for power. my d17 looks and sounds amazing...but is probly the slowest car ive ever owned lol. me and my friend were drivin my vics and just to see which had more pull (i knew i did, he was driving the d17 and me in the d16y8) we took them on the highway (only going the speedlimit of course)...needless to say i hit 70 mph WAY before him lol.
oh yeah and the d16y8 is COMPLETELY stock atm
the d17 has i/h/e
but id say do the k swap and maybe boost it afterwards. then take it to the track and smoke all the other em2's.

Re: My new car
It's just the stock 04-05 wheel, nothing fancy, just in decent shape compared to 2003ex's
And in terms of buying an M3, if you have 63k, buy it; they are awesome machines, but if you just need a decent reliable, inexpensive, and fun car to drive, you buy a civic
