What motor is in 2003 civic lx/advice

I am looking at purchasing a 2003 honda civic lx 1.7l 5 speed coupe. I am not new to the car game but new to the honda game. Formerly I only worked on subarus. not new to boosting but wanting some advice on what motor to go with and what motor is in the car already. Looking to throw together a cheaper build and boost it after replacing some internal, gaskets, injectors, fuel pump. looking to run on e85 any advice/discussion would be awesome. thank you guys.

stock D17A1, look trans/engine mating region. Since yours is the third time being asking about in recent weeks, it should be in recent threads with picture of location - just search and there are pictures.

now, what is under the hood could be several different ones. Check yours. who knows if someone swapped a different one.
